A. For contract faculty, effective July 1, 2001,
5% (3.87% COLA + 1.13%) shall be added to the following salary schedules:
contract monthly, contract overload, contract intersession, monthly
non-teaching, overload non-teaching, and intersession non-teaching.
B. For adjunct faculty, effective August 20,
2001,18.5% (eighteen and one-half percent) (13.5% augmentation + 5.0%
(3.87% COLA + 1.13%)) shall be added to the following salary schedules:
adjunct credit semester, adjunct non-credit, and adjunct non-teaching.
The augmentation portion of this increase will be recalculated each
year based on the amount of the Part-time Faculty Compensation awarded
by the State.
C For contract non-credit faculty, effective
July 1, 2001, placement on the contract monthly salary schedule shall
be adjusted based on the year hired as a contract monthly employee
and total years of service credit granted for prior monthly and hourly
experiences as defined in Article 12.1.1 of the existing contract,
as per the attached schedule.
2. For the academic year 2002-2003
A. For contract faculty, effective July 1, 2002,
2% COLA shall be added to the following salary schedules: contract
monthly, contract overload, contract intersession, monthly non-teaching,
overload non-teaching, and intersession non-teaching.
B. For adjunct faculty, effective August 19,
2002, 2% COLA, plus the adjusted part-time faculty augmentation of
minus one-half percent, shall be added to the following salary schedules:
adjunct credit semester, adjunct non-credit, and adjunct non-teaching.
This results in an overall increase of 1.5%
C. For adjunct credit intersession faculty,
effective July 8, 2002 (second summer session), 7% shall be added
to the adjunct credit intersession salary schedule.
D. In addition, the parties agree to negotiate:
1. Issues related to the implementation
of the 2003-04 Compressed Calendar.
2. A definition of part-time parity.
3. For academic year 2003-2004
A. For contract faculty, effective July 1, 2003,
the actual state-funded Cost of Living Adjustment (COLA) shall be
added to the following salary schedules: contract monthly, contract
overload, contract intersession, monthly non-teaching, overload non-teaching,
and intersession non-teaching.
B. For adjunct faculty, effective September
2, 2003, the actual state-funded Cost of Living Adjustment (COLA)
+ the Adjusted Part-time Faculty Augmentation, shall be added to the
following salary schedules: adjunct credit semester, adjunct non-credit,
adjunct non-teaching, and adjunct credit intersession.
C. In addition, the parties agree to negotiate:
1. Article 4, Fringe Benefits
2. Article 7, Evaluation Procedures
4. Retroactive payments, where applicable, shall
be made to appropriate unit members who are employees of the District
on the day this tentative agreement is approved by the Board of Trustees.
5. Employee benefits in effect on June 30, 2001
shall remain in effect through June 30, 2004, except as adjusted under
3.C.1 above.
6. Both parties agree to present this tentative
agreement to their constituent groups for ratification or approval.
7. All provisions of the 1998-2000 collective
bargaining agreement between the parties, not amended above, remain
in effect through June 30, 2004.
